Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geoscience, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences, Planning, or a related discipline relevant to municipal infrastructure planning
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Environmental Technology, GIS, Asset Management, or a related technical discipline with relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience in municipal engineering, infrastructure planning, asset management, development servicing, consulting engineering, or capital project delivery
- Experience with hydraulic, hydrologic, water quality, sewer, transportation, or infrastructure planning models is a strong asset
- Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, stakeholder discussions, or interdepartmental teams is a key asset
Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-departmental, integrated infrastructure planning initiatives
- Serve as a key link between Asset Management, Engineering, Operations, Development Services, and Finance
- Facilitate discussions that shape long-term infrastructure, capital planning, and investment decisions
- Work across asset management, infrastructure modelling, development servicing, and long-range planning
- Apply and maintain water, sanitary sewer, and drainage models to support evidence-based planning and decision making
- Support growth management, development review, master planning, and infrastructure renewal initiatives
- Help build and enhance the City's asset management and planning practices
- Collaborate with a diverse group of technical and operational professionals
