Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer co-owns the infrastructure behind an automated audio production platform, keeping it secure, reliable, and cost-effective as it scales. The role maintains AWS services with Terraform, including EKS clusters, RDS databases, networking, and VAST servers; supports SOC 2 compliance, observability, on-call operations, and incident response; and improves CI/CD, testing, rollback, and developer tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production infrastructure on AWS or another major cloud provider, with readiness to work on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience running containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical knowledge of VPCs, DNS, load balancers, TLS, and least-privilege access.
• Ability to write Python and use Git, with curiosity about AI coding tools.
• Experience with production SLAs, on-call work, incident response, observability, alerting, or SLOs is desirable.
• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling is desirable.
• Experience with Auth0 or OAuth, RDS operations, or SOC 2 audits is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including EKS clusters, RDS databases, networking, and VAST servers.
• Secure networks and access using least-privilege principles and Auth0 integration, and support SOC 2 compliance.
• Monitor cloud costs and support efficient scaling.
• Write infrastructure runbooks and documentation.
• Maintain observability tools and alerts using Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Logfire.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and perform maintenance with zero or planned downtime.
• Improve incident handling and learning practices.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and rollback processes.
• Build tooling that helps teams create prototypes and automations.
• Support engineering teams with infrastructure and platform questions.
