Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer role is essential for ensuring system reliability and leading infrastructure efforts during EU business hours. Responsibilities include managing GCP workloads, automating deployments, and overseeing Kubernetes clusters, while facilitating effective communication with global teams to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in a production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or math.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience running and scaling workloads in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 3+ years of experience managing production Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Python and Go for infrastructure automation and operational tooling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Strong self-direction and async communication skills in distributed team environments.
• Familiarity with hosting and orchestrating agentic AI systems and LLM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary infrastructure contact during EU working hours, extending coverage to support cross-regional needs in APAC (AUS) and EMEA.
• Build, scale, and optimize infrastructure dedicated to supporting EMEA teams and regional customer deployments.
• Proactively manage system health, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for GCP-based workloads.
• Automate deployments, manage Kubernetes clusters, and build internal tooling for developers.
• Establish effective async workflows and handoff protocols with other infrastructure teams.
