Job summary
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise infrastructure in virtual and physical environments, focusing on Windows Server and VMware technologies.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Experience with VMware vSphere
- Knowledge of Windows Failover Clustering and MPIO
- Configure and support PingFederate for SSO
- Manage UserLock MFA including policy configuration
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with F5 load balancers and Citrix
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and PowerShell scripting
- Proactive approach to documentation
- Ability to obtain BPSS & SC Clearance
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Windows Server environments
- Perform system provisioning including OS installation and patching
- Manage virtual machine lifecycle
- Monitor and optimise resource utilisation
- Document onboarding processes and standards
- Maintain technical documentation including SOPs
- Administer VMware vSphere environments
- Design and implement Windows Failover Clustering solutions
- Configure and support Multipath I/O for SAN storage
- Ensure resilience and high availability of systems
- Lead application onboarding and infrastructure provisioning
- Provide support for infrastructure incidents
- Participate in on-call support
- Support patching cycles and vulnerability remediation
- Contribute to continuous service improvement
