Job summary

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer at Cabot Credit Management, you will play a key role in delivering and supporting robust, secure, and scalable technology services across our organisation. With a primary focus on UK operations and an awareness of wider European business needs, you’ll take a hands-on approach to infrastructure support, system administration, and project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Expert level NetApp Ontap and AFF skills.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server platforms.
  • Experience with VMware and Microsoft AVD.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019 Hybrid), Office 365, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Dell Server Hardware.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication.
  • Experience with web technologies (IIS, .NET).
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, DHCP, WINS.
  • Experience with Windows/SQL clustering.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and service management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and support robust, secure, and scalable technology services.
  • Take a hands-on approach to infrastructure support, system administration, and project delivery.
  • Provide expert 3rd line support and technical leadership.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and optimize systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliable and resilient IT services.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security across infrastructure and service delivery.
  • Lead vulnerability management, patching, and preventative maintenance.
  • Resolve complex and high-impact incidents.
  • Review, validate, and contribute to infrastructure design and project delivery.
  • Support IT governance, compliance, and audits (SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Operate within ITIL frameworks, managing incidents, problems, and changes.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery testing for business continuity.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for performance and integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • Integrate security and best practices into technology and lifecycle decisions.
  • Support ongoing system administration, service improvements, and out-of-hours escalation.
