Infrastructure Engineer - Datacenter (m/w/d)

Job summary

Responsible for stable and secure operation of data center and infrastructure platforms, ensuring system availability, performance, and scalability while developing infrastructure towards cloud and hybrid models.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT Specialist in System Integration, or equivalent
• Several years of experience in data center and infrastructure operations
• Solid IT knowledge and experience in virtualization, networking, cloud operations, storage, backup, and monitoring
• Basic understanding of ISO27001, BSI Basic Protection, ITIL
• Familiarity with agile working methods
• Basic knowledge of transport logistics is a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Independent and structured working style with team orientation

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor data centers (On-Prem & Cloud)
• Administer servers, virtualization, storage, and backup
• Analyze and resolve incidents (2nd/3rd Level)
• Manage capacity and performance
• Plan and implement maintenance and expansions
• Manage data center lifecycle
• Ensure availability, security, and compliance (ISO27001)
• Supervise external service providers
• Drive development of data center operations through automation and standardization
