Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer supports and improves a secure, business-critical enterprise environment, combining operational support with infrastructure project delivery to maintain reliable and available services. The role covers Citrix and VMware virtual desktops, Windows Server, upgrades and patching, Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity backup solutions, and incident resolution using controlled change processes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
• Experience administering Citrix and VMware virtual desktop environments.
• Knowledge of infrastructure patching, upgrades, and platform maintenance.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, or similar backup technologies.
• Familiarity with Shavlik or similar server patching tools.
• Experience supporting licence management and printing platforms.
• Basic network switch configuration experience.
• Understanding of ITIL change management and controlled change processes.
• Linux infrastructure experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and improve Citrix and VMware virtual desktop environments.
• Manage Windows Server infrastructure and support Linux environments.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Administer backup and recovery using Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity.
• Manage server patching with Shavlik.
• Support licence management infrastructure and enterprise printing services.
• Assist with network switch configuration and infrastructure changes.
• Deliver infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting improvements.
• Follow change management processes and collaborate with infrastructure, project, and service teams.
