Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer owns platform engineering and automation, building shared deployment capabilities and providing advanced infrastructure engineering and production support. The role develops reusable CI/CD pipelines, Terraform and Ansible templates, and self-service provisioning workflows, while resolving complex issues across Windows and Linux systems, identity, networking, cloud, virtualization, storage, and backup. It also improves observability and reliability using PowerShell, Python, APIs, and Git-based practices.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on infrastructure operations experience across several domains.
• Degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced PowerShell or Python automation experience, including API integration.
• Practical experience with infrastructure as code or configuration management.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, including Git, testing, secure deployment, and rollback.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and incident-response skills.
• Working knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Ability to document work, mentor others, and collaborate across a distributed team.
• AWS or container-platform experience is preferred; Azure experience is a plus.
• Experience with reusable provisioning workflows, IT service management practices, or financial services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide escalation support for complex infrastructure incidents and recurring operational problems.
• Troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, identity, networking, cloud, virtualization, storage, and backup.
• Lead root-cause analysis and turn recurring incidents into engineering work or documented standards.
• Build tested automation using PowerShell, Python, and APIs.
• Maintain reusable Terraform and Ansible infrastructure templates.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with validation, environment promotion, health checks, and rollback.
• Apply Git, peer review, automated testing, change controls, and secure secrets handling.
• Improve monitoring, logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, and automated health checks.
• Maintain self-service provisioning workflows and drive platform reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers and review infrastructure code and pipeline designs.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, onboarding guidance, and a prioritized platform backlog.
