Job summary
Own the cloud platform supporting AI agents that automate insurance workflows, providing reliable, secure, observable infrastructure for engineering teams and sensitive insurance data. Operate GCP and Cloud Run with Terraform and CI/CD, instrument services with OpenTelemetry, lead incident response, and build scalable databases, APIs, and data pipelines. Manage IAM, secrets, encryption, SOC 2 and PIPEDA readiness, and cloud costs.

Qualifications
- Deep experience operating cloud infrastructure as code, ideally on GCP
- Strong reliability and observability mindset
- Solid backend and database fundamentals
- Practical security instincts and familiarity with SOC 2 or PIPEDA
- Pragmatic, enabling approach to automation and helping engineers work faster
Responsibilities
- Operate GCP and Cloud Run infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD
- Instrument services with metrics, logs, and traces using OpenTelemetry; configure alerts and SLOs
- Lead incident response, reduce latency and recovery time, and conduct postmortems
- Design and tune databases, APIs, and data pipelines for scale and reliability
- Manage IAM, secrets, and encryption; advance SOC 2 and PIPEDA readiness
- Control cloud costs while supporting engineering velocity
