Job summary
The Infrastructure Engineer supports, maintains, and develops enterprise technology infrastructure used across the UK, helping deliver secure, reliable services and infrastructure modernisation. Responsibilities include managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Hyper-V, storage, and backup platforms; supporting monitoring, patching, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery; and assisting with migrations to Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or IT Operations role.
- Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
- Good understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Good understanding of Virtualisation technologies, particularly Hyper-V
- Good understanding of Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Good understanding of PowerShell scripting and automation
- Good understanding of IT Service Management processes
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Hyper-V, storage and backup environments.
- Support system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery activities to ensure secure and resilient services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server and application issues, providing technical expertise across the organisation.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the migration of services and workloads to Microsoft Azure.
- Work closely with colleagues across Technology Operations, Security, Development and Project teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and stakeholders across the business.
