Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer at the City of Prince George provides technical and strategic support to the Utilities, Roads, and Parks divisions, focusing on the planning, design, and management of the City's water, sanitary, and stormwater systems.

Qualifications

  • registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • minimum of five years of experience in municipal infrastructure design, construction, and operations
  • two to three years of project management experience
  • supervisory experience is an asset
  • strong understanding of municipal engineering and public works operations
  • valid Class 5 BC driver's license (or out-of-province equivalent)

Responsibilities

  • provides technical and strategic support to the Utilities, Roads, and Parks divisions
  • planning, designing, and managing the City's water, sanitary, and stormwater systems
  • supporting related capital, maintenance, and operational programs
  • ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the City's infrastructure
  • collaborating with internal teams, external agencies, consultants, and the public

Certifications
