Job summary
Thales is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (IT) to lead the building, configuration, and support of Systems IT infrastructure for high-impact projects. The role involves managing Microsoft and RHEL environments, virtualisation platforms, and multi-site systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance. This position offers broad variety, leadership opportunities, and global exposure with limited travel.

Qualifications
- Proven infrastructure engineer with strong hands-on experience
- Experience managing Microsoft and RHEL environments
- Experience managing virtualization platforms
- Experience managing multi-site systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance
- Resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC clearance eligibility
Responsibilities
- Lead building, configuring, and supporting Systems IT infrastructure for high-impact projects
- Drive installation, setup, and seamless delivery of IT infrastructure
- Administer and maintain Microsoft and RHEL servers (physical and virtual)
- Administer and maintain Windows 11 clients
- Ensure secure and stable operating environments
- Manage hypervisor technologies including VMware and Nvidia GRID virtualization
- Support high-performance workloads
- Configure and support Microsoft Active Directory
- Configure and support Exchange and related identity and messaging services
- Use PowerShell and other automation tools to streamline configuration, deployments, and operational tasks
- Oversee server, client, Windows, and A/V updates to maintain compliance, security, and performance
- Provide 3rd-line technical support
- Mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with third-party vendors on hardware and software solutions
