Job summary

Thales is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of server and datacenter infrastructure through maintenance, repair, and replacement. The role involves analyzing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring IT components, and documenting systems for compliance. This position supports datacenter operations in the Berlin area, contributing to the availability, stability, and security of the cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Profound knowledge in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing IT servers and datacenter hardware
• Proficient in using ticketing systems
• Experience with DCIM and datacenter management tools is a plus
• Structured, meticulous, and team-oriented work approach in a dynamic environment
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• ITIL certification or comparable knowledge in IT service management is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation of server and datacenter infrastructure through maintenance, repair, and replacement measures
• Analyze, prioritize, and resolve technical issues
• Process service requests via the ticketing system
• Install, configure, and commission server, network, and other IT components
• Document and maintain datacenter management systems for audits, inventories, and compliance
• Collaborate with national and international teams to support datacenter operations in the Berlin area
• Ensure smooth information flow among all stakeholders
• Contribute to the availability, stability, and security of the cloud infrastructure
