Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer at Marex is a hands-on automation engineer responsible for building, improving, and upgrading the company's infrastructure using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and Ansible. The role focuses on automating configuration, deployment, and management of technologies across Office 365, VMware, AWS, and Azure, while mentoring team members and ensuring optimal service delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure automation and engineering roles
• Advanced scripting and programming ability in PowerShell and Python
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep knowledge of the platforms these skills are applied to
• Experience working in Agile environments

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain automation code in PowerShell and Python
• Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in BitBucket Pipelines
• Apply SRE principles by codifying reliability, self-healing, and observability
• Set coding and automation standards for the team and mentor colleagues
• Engineer and automate platform migration and modernisation work
• Instrument systems and build automated monitoring and observability
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Embed security and governance controls into automation code and pipelines
• Be available on weekends to carry out infrastructure changes
• Participate in Agile working methodology
