The Infrastructure Engineer operates and improves on-premises and cloud infrastructure, helping keep services reliable, scalable, secure, and available. Responsibilities include incident resolution, root cause analysis, infrastructure changes and migrations, security controls, patching, backups, resilience testing, automation, and monitoring. The role covers hybrid environments using Azure/M365 and on-premises technologies such as Windows Server, VMware or Hyper-V, and PowerShell.

Qualifications
- Experience operating hybrid infrastructure across Azure/Microsoft 365 and on-premises environments.
- Experience with Windows Server, VMware or Hyper-V, networking, and firewalls.
- Experience managing identity, endpoint, and collaboration services such as Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.
- Scripting and automation experience, such as PowerShell, and familiarity with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Experience implementing monitoring, backup and restore, and disaster recovery patterns.
- Familiarity with change, incident, and problem management frameworks and security hardening practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and identity.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting fixes.
- Build, migrate, integrate, and decommission services through changes and small projects.
- Implement security controls, patching, backups, and resilience testing.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and infrastructure as code; maintain documentation and runbooks.
- Monitor infrastructure health and capacity, tune performance, and optimize cloud and data-centre costs.
