Infrastructure Engineer

Job summary

Supports and maintains cloud and on-premises infrastructure services that underpin the energy sector’s digital operations. The role focuses on Microsoft Azure, including deployments, monitoring, patching, maintenance, incident resolution, and disaster recovery, while contributing to infrastructure improvements and automation using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Experience maintaining infrastructure through deployments, patching, upgrades, monitoring, backup and recovery, and incident support.
• Experience supporting cloud and infrastructure services, including Microsoft Azure.
• Experience using automation, scripting, or Infrastructure-as-Code to improve operational efficiency and stability.
• Experience investigating infrastructure issues, escalating when appropriate, and working collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Hold or be able to obtain the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification or an equivalent cloud infrastructure certification within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud and on-premises infrastructure services to maintain reliable operations.
• Assist with deployments, configuration, monitoring, and system health checks.
• Troubleshoot incidents, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute to problem investigations.
• Carry out patching, upgrades, updates, and routine maintenance.
• Contribute to improvements in infrastructure tools, automation, and operational processes.
• Maintain technical documentation for operational continuity and compliance.
