Job summary
The Infrastructure Engineer provisions, operates, and improves reliable, secure infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The role covers local networks, identity services, Windows and Linux systems, monitoring, troubleshooting, and backup testing, using scripting and automation to reduce manual work and strengthen resilience.

Qualifications
- Experience designing, operating, or supporting traditional infrastructure, including networking, virtualization, and storage
- Windows server administration and core Windows services experience
- Scripting skills for automation, problem-solving, and repeatability
- Experience troubleshooting network, compute, storage, and operating system issues
- Understanding of availability, resilience, and effective incident response
- Ability to use AI tools to diagnose problems and deliver work
- Sound judgment and ability to own systems while working independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Provision, operate, and improve physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure
- Own local networks, including Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, and internet connections
- Use scripting, preferably PowerShell, to automate tasks and reduce manual effort
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and test backups
- Escalate and resolve complex infrastructure incidents and Service Desk issues
- Work with suppliers, external support teams, and the Security Manager to identify and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities
