Job summary
The Infrastructure Engineer administers and supports private, hybrid, and public cloud compute and storage platforms, while helping shape secure, scalable infrastructure and enterprise data management strategy. The role leads Commvault backup and recovery operations across VMware and public cloud environments, including CommServe and MediaAgents, Quantum tape libraries, SAN devices, and cloud storage targets, and contributes to technology roadmaps, project delivery, and infrastructure documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; additional related experience may substitute year for year.
- At least 3 years of related experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Administrator role; 5 years preferred.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting backup hardware, tape libraries, and Fibre Channel fabrics.
- Ability to identify solutions across complex Linux and Windows environments.
- Ability to lead large-scale deployment projects and implement micro-segmentation and zero-trust practices.
- Experience with Commvault architecture, including CommServe job orchestration and MediaAgent data movement preferred.
- Experience implementing Commvault Virtual Server Agents or similar technology to protect VMware vSphere environments preferred.
- Experience using cloud storage such as AWS Glacier or Azure Blob Storage for long-term retention and disaster recovery preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support private, hybrid, and public cloud compute and storage environments.
- Manage the Commvault platform, including CommServe health and performance and associated MediaAgents.
- Configure and maintain backup infrastructure, including Quantum tape libraries, cloud storage targets, and SAN devices.
- Deploy and manage CommCell Virtual Server Agents for backup and recovery across VMware and public cloud environments.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure efficiency and resource utilization.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation for support personnel, developers, and users.
- Develop infrastructure architecture plans, technology roadmaps, and project plans.
