The Infrastructure Engineer is essential for maintaining the university's infrastructure, focusing on efficient operations and incident recovery. Responsibilities include leading technical resolutions for major incidents, monitoring core infrastructure components, and providing expert advice for projects, all while collaborating with the infrastructure team to drive continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- lead technical role in resolution and recovery from major incidents, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- monitor lifecycle of core infrastructure components and advise on replacements/upgrades
- act as technical lead on installations, upgrades, and changes to core infrastructure components
- serve as SME for Business and Technical projects, owning associated tasks
- provide technical advice and guidance for informed decision-making
- monitor, investigate, and improve efficiency of infrastructure components
