Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer maintains a critical, highly available IT environment spanning on-premises and virtualized systems, authentication, and collaboration services. Responsibilities include supporting Windows and Linux servers, managed endpoints, Active Directory and PKI, Citrix VDI, monitoring, backup and recovery, storage, and second-level support, using technologies such as VMware, Commvault, Veeam, PowerShell, and Linux scripting tools.

Qualifications

• Several years of IT experience; relevant training is an advantage
• In-depth Active Directory knowledge, including Group Policy and permissions
• Experience with certificate infrastructure and certificate management
• Strong expertise in at least two of the following: Windows and Linux servers with VMware virtualization; networking and firewalling; scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python; monitoring and alerting
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and storage is an advantage
• Clean record
• Commitment to Red Cross principles

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support critical, highly available IT infrastructure
• Support physical and virtual Windows and Linux systems
• Manage endpoints through Microsoft Configuration Manager
• Support Active Directory, PKI, directory services, and identity solutions
• Support Citrix VDI, monitoring and alerting, backup and recovery, and storage
• Provide second-level support
• Coordinate with network and security infrastructure
