Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer role involves planning, designing, installing, and enhancing the Windows Server landscape to ensure high availability and operational support. Key responsibilities include performance management, automation through PowerShell scripting, and administration of Citrix VDI infrastructure and IIS web servers, contributing to IT security and system optimization.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an IT specialist or equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in Windows Server environments
• Experience with Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Failover Clustering
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation
• Experience in managing and optimizing Hyper-V
• Experience with storage solutions like Dell EMC
• Solid knowledge of Windows Firewall management and configuration
• Experience with Microsoft IIS for web application deployment and security
• Administration of Citrix VDI environments and Netscaler for load balancing
• Fluent in German and good command of English

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, install, and enhance Windows Server landscape
• Conduct performance, capacity, and availability management
• Ensure operational support using a ticket system
• Create and adjust automation processes and system configurations
• Manage and secure Windows Firewall rules and server-level network configurations
• Administer and optimize IIS web servers
• Support and develop Citrix VDI infrastructure and Netscaler load balancers
• Assist in IT security with hardening measures
