Job summary

The Infrastructure Engineer role is essential for designing, building, enhancing, and integrating technology infrastructure to support various portfolios within Data Center Hosting Services. Key responsibilities include managing physical data center hardware, troubleshooting network issues, and overseeing asset management while ensuring compliance with corporate security policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
• 2+ years of Data Center experience
• Experience supporting technology at an enterprise-level
• Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations
• Proficiency with server, storage, mainframe, and network hardware
• Proficiency with Layer 1 Infrastructure deployments
• Extensive knowledge of data center operations (space, power, cooling and network)

Responsibilities

• Support initiatives that deliver workable end to end infrastructure solutions
• Participate in test planning and execution
• Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates
• Design, build, enhance and integrate the infrastructure required to support various platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve tickets during implementation of store networks
• Troubleshoot and resolve first level network and wireless issues
• Present recommendations for resolving ticket requests
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues
• Interact with internal customers
• Responsible for asset management including inventory management, ordering, shipping and receiving
• Receive and unpack hardware, servers, and other equipment
• Hardware rack and stack
• Provision and install power and network cables
• Complete diagnostic quality assurance inspections
• Perform audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met
• Reconcile and report inventory discrepancies
