Infrastructure & Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Job summary

As an Infrastructure & Platform Engineer, responsible for global administration and development of HCI solutions, ensuring stable operations of infrastructure platforms, and optimizing existing processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and platform operations
• Knowledge of HCI infrastructures (e.g., VMware, Nutanix)
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam Backup & Replication)
• Familiarity with storage systems (e.g., Data Domain)
• Proficient in MS Windows Server and MS SQL databases including clustering technologies
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios)
• Experience in operating high-availability systems and critical infrastructures
• Analytical and structured approach to complex problems
• Experience in automation (e.g., scripting with PowerShell, Bash) is a plus
• Understanding of IT service processes and operational models

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop HCI solutions globally
• Ensure stable operations of infrastructure platforms
• Plan and implement capacity, performance, and availability measures
• Operate and develop distributed backup and recovery solutions
• Administer and optimize SQL databases and MS Windows servers
• Build, operate, and develop monitoring solutions
• Collaborate with international IT teams and external service providers
• Support global IT projects and rollouts
