Infrastructure Reliability Engineer

Job summary

The Infrastructure Reliability Engineer supports the stability, security, and operation of enterprise compute platforms, providing requirements and delivery support while partnering with engineering and architecture teams. The role administers Windows and Linux systems, virtualization, hardware, and storage; improves automation and observability; manages patching, incidents, and changes; and contributes to operational metrics and automated solutions for Engineering and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• At least five years of IT experience, focused on server and storage infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux, including Red Hat or Ubuntu
• Disk storage management expertise; SAN, NAS, or CAS experience is a plus
• Experience with VMware or OLVM virtualization
• Experience providing on-call coverage and managing incidents
• Experience supporting enterprise customers and application teams
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including Linux, AIX, Windows, VMware, OpenStack, HP, and Dell

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows, Linux, and virtualization operating systems
• Oversee hypervisors and hardware infrastructure
• Advance automation, observability, DevOps, and EngOps practices
• Ensure security compliance and perform patching
• Maintain environment stability and support critical server operations
• Participate in incident management and change execution
• Contribute to operational KPIs and metrics
• Coordinate with global teams and vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions
• Support compute platform requirements and delivery
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams on solution design and automation implementation
