Infrastructure / SRE Engineer - Germany

Job summary

The Infrastructure / SRE Engineer designs, builds, and operates cloud infrastructure and reliability capabilities that help platform teams deliver safely and consistently. The role covers infrastructure as code, landing zones, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, incident response, SLOs, cost optimization, and production readiness, including deployments in hybrid, BYOC, on-premises, or edge environments.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure with reliability ownership.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, landing zones, networking, identity, security, and environment management.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Experience establishing observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Understanding of cost and capacity optimization, including GPU workloads.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in client-facing environments.
• Experience with Azure, Terraform, Bicep, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or related tools is desired.
• Experience with Azure Arc, fleet management, pull-based deployments, or configuration drift management is desired.
• Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, model-serving infrastructure, or enterprise-scale infrastructure is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, and reliability capabilities.
• Develop landing zones and manage infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production readiness.
• Establish observability with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and actionable alerts.
• Define or support SLOs, incident response, postmortems, and on-call operations.
• Automate operational tasks using scripts, tools, runbooks, and platform services.
• Optimize infrastructure cost and capacity, including GPU workloads.
• Support delivery to hybrid, BYOC, on-premises, edge, regulated, or air-gapped environments.
