Job summary

Develop and operate a production AWS cloud platform, including hybrid-cloud services and managed Kubernetes on Amazon EKS, while supporting application teams in adopting cloud services. The role includes administering EKS clusters, building Terraform modules and Python/FastAPI tools, designing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and Docker, supporting deployments through ArgoCD, and promoting AWS best practices.

Qualifications

• Confirmed AWS expertise in production environments
• Strong Terraform skills, including hands-on module development
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters, ideally Amazon EKS
• Good Python skills for scripts and APIs
• Working knowledge of GitLab CI, Linux systems, and networking
• Ability to understand complex information systems
• Service orientation, autonomy, rigor, and initiative

Responsibilities

• Evolve the public cloud offering based on user needs and encourage adoption of new services
• Maintain cloud service operations and administer Amazon EKS clusters
• Develop Terraform modules and Python/FastAPI tools for administration, dashboards, metrics, and compliance checks
• Support AppOps teams and users with application deployments through ArgoCD
• Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Docker, and Terraform
• Advise on AWS and promote public-cloud best practices
