Job summary

Provide hands-on operational support for a hybrid DevOps environment during a two-to-three-month replacement assignment, supporting a project team of eight developers and working with the Infrastructure/DevOps lead. The role focuses on Azure and Azure DevOps, including YAML pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting, Terraform-managed infrastructure, and version upgrades, alongside standard operational support for on-premises TFS. AI tools may be used to generate and review infrastructure-as-code or pipeline code and assist with troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud operations
• Experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
• Practical experience operating and upgrading Terraform-managed Azure infrastructure
• Good knowledge of Azure resources, basic networking, and identities
• Able to take ownership quickly in an environment without another DevOps engineer
• Knowledge of TFS or Azure DevOps Server on-premises is an advantage
• Platform engineering experience is an advantage
• Regular practical use of engineering AI tools such as Copilot is an advantage
• Able to quickly understand and take ownership of an existing environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, including repairing failed pipelines
• Manage environment and tool upgrades
• Maintain Azure infrastructure managed with Terraform
• Provide operational support for standard on-premises TFS functionality
• Use AI tools for infrastructure-as-code and pipeline code generation and review, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with internal network teams
