Job summary

The role supports users of a federated cloud service for the higher education and research community and helps develop tools that make cloud services easier to use. Responsibilities include user support and technical advice, requirements analysis, deployment of cloud-ready tools, and maintaining and securing solutions, including backup and service continuity. The environment uses OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, GNU/Linux, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and Ceph.

Responsibilities

• Support users of the Cloud Recherche et Données platform
• Provide advice and expertise on cloud services
• Analyze user needs and contribute to requirements specifications
• Help deploy cloud-ready tools
• Monitor relevant technology developments
• Maintain, secure, and evolve deployed solutions
• Develop backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans
• Inspect the security of deployed solutions
• Align development with open science policy
• Mentor interns and share cloud infrastructure best practices
• Facilitate a professional community and participate in the IT network
