Intermediate DevOps Specialist

Job summary

The Intermediate DevOps Specialist at MDA is responsible for bridging development and operations to ensure seamless deployment and operation of software systems for the CHORUS satellite mission. The role involves collaborating with various teams to implement and support CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security and integrity, and contributing to continuous improvement in DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• University degree in technical discipline, preferably in computer science or engineering
• 3+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, SRE, or systems administration
• Strong knowledge of automation tools and technologies
• Experience with scripting languages and automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and CI/CD principles
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with source control tools such as GitLab
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitCI

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated pipelines integrating multiple tools and systems
• Automate deployment of software applications into production environments
• Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools for AWS services management
• Manage and automate configuration of DNS and Active Directory
• Collaborate with development teams for seamless integration of automated pipelines
• Ensure security and integrity of automated pipelines and deployments
• Continuously monitor and improve performance of automated pipelines
• Collaborate with IT to implement Infrastructure as Code
• Implement software security policies with Cyber Security team
• Contribute to design and implementation of monitoring tools
