IT Data Platform Engineering Manager

Job summary

Subsea7 is seeking an IT Data Platform Engineering Manager to lead a team of data professionals in delivering and improving data platform engineering services. The role involves managing the Common Data Environment and ensuring alignment with business objectives while enabling AI technologies across the organization.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering and data platform technologies, especially Azure data services
• Proven track record of leading and managing technical data teams
• Solid knowledge of data architecture principles and data integration patterns
• Experience defining and executing data platform strategy and roadmaps
• Experience enabling AI and advanced analytics through governed data platform services
• Experience managing third-party data engineering partners and vendor relationships
• Strong understanding of DataOps and CI/CD for data
• Understanding of data security and regulatory compliance requirements
• Knowledge of self-service business intelligence and analytics enablement

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Data Platform Engineering team
• Own the operational delivery and continuous improvement of the Common Data Environment (CDE)
• Define, maintain, and execute the Data Platform and AI Enablement roadmap
• Provide technical direction and design authority for data engineering solutions
• Oversee the development and operation of data platform capabilities that support AI workloads
• Manage relationships with third-party data engineering partners
• Oversee data architecture standards and enterprise data modelling
• Coordinate with Cyber Security & Compliance for data security and regulatory compliance
• Champion DataOps and CI/CD practices for data
• Support self-service business intelligence and data analytics capabilities
• Coordinate with other IT teams for integrated data services
• Represent the Data Platform Engineering function in IT leadership forums
