Job summary

The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer maintains and evolves a secure, resilient hybrid infrastructure environment supporting European operations. The role covers Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers, VMware or Hyper-V, enterprise networking, and Veeam and Rubrik backup and recovery. The engineer also contributes to migrations and data-centre modernisation, automates tasks with PowerShell, resolves complex incidents, and improves monitoring, documentation, and service reliability.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, servers, storage, and hybrid data-centre environments
• Strong enterprise networking and multi-vendor firewall troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lead complex incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Active Directory services
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, VMware and Hyper-V environments, and core infrastructure services
• Manage and improve Veeam and Rubrik backup and recovery solutions
• Support disaster recovery testing, immutable backups, and cyber resilience
• Contribute to infrastructure migrations, data-centre modernisation, platform upgrades, and site consolidation
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell and other tools
• Improve infrastructure monitoring, endpoint management, and operational efficiency
• Support enterprise networking, firewalls, endpoint security, and vulnerability remediation
• Troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to major incident resolution and root-cause analysis
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers and share technical knowledge
