Job summary
Build, operate, and improve IT infrastructure supporting engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams, and deliver secure, documented systems for new sites. The role covers Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Windows and macOS endpoint management, site networks, firewalls, backups, and Microsoft Sentinel, with routine work automated using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.

Qualifications
- At least three years of hands-on IT infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Azure infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, site networking, VPNs, and wireless across multiple sites
- Experience managing Windows and macOS endpoints with Intune and/or Jamf
- PowerShell scripting skills; Microsoft Graph experience is advantageous
- Understanding of infrastructure security, including least privilege, hardening, logging, and patching
- Experience with network monitoring systems
- Experience working within ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, or similar frameworks
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Comfort working in a small team
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructure, including Azure networking, firewalls, VPNs, and backups
- Manage Entra ID identity and access, including Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, and joiner, mover, and leaver processes
- Manage Windows and macOS devices using Intune, Jamf Pro, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central, including patching, compliance, and certificate deployment
- Operate site networks, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure, and support network changes at new sites
- Design and deliver infrastructure for new sites, including installation, IT/OT network segmentation, and documented handover
- Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, runbooks, and standard builds
- Implement infrastructure changes through change control, documenting firewall rules and rollback plans
- Run backups and restore tests, and track certificates, tokens, and licences for renewal
- Ensure infrastructure and network logs are sent to Microsoft Sentinel in coordination with the security team
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
- Approve privileged access in line with separation-of-duties requirements and provide cover for the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
