Job summary

The IT Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on the operation and development of server and network environments across multiple sites. Key responsibilities include installing and configuring Cisco network components, managing Check Point firewall environments, and supporting IT/OT convergence projects to ensure secure integration of production and IT networks.

Qualifications

• Completed training in IT or degree in computer science or comparable field
• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, network, or system administration
• Knowledge of Cisco Networking, Check Point Firewalls, and/or VMware
• Experience in operating production-related IT environments is advantageous
• Structured and independent working style
• Strong service orientation and hands-on mentality
• High communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with local and international contacts
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Implement new technologies and infrastructure standards
• Plan and execute infrastructure projects for site harmonization
• Install and configure Cisco network components (switches, access points)
• Configure Check Point firewall environment
• Manage server systems including monitoring, updates, and lifecycle management
• Support IT/OT convergence projects for secure integration of production and IT networks
• Analyze and resolve issues in 2nd and 3rd level support
