Job summary
Pavers Shoes is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Team in York, focusing on supporting and developing hybrid IT infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
- Experience in a retail or multi-site environment is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Support and develop hybrid IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments
- Administer network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless networks, firewalls, and VPNs
- Build, configure, and administer Windows and Linux servers
- Manage and maintain virtualised environments
- Administer storage infrastructure for business operations
- Manage and deploy cloud environments
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Monitor infrastructure performance and availability
- Manage infrastructure projects including hardware refreshes and cloud migrations
- Act as an escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents
- Maintain accurate system documentation and configurations
- Collaborate with IT and business colleagues for infrastructure improvements
- Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance and service delivery
- Support automation and modern infrastructure practices
