IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d)

Job summary

This role connects IT and production by ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT/OT infrastructure for production-critical systems. Responsibilities include owning the Model Manager CAD system, operating hybrid infrastructure and storage, managing backup and disaster recovery with Veeam and HPE Zerto, administering Linux and Windows servers, and supporting Kubernetes and Rancher platforms. The role also delivers IT/OT projects in a GxP-regulated environment and participates in 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT management, technical computer science, distributed systems, or equivalent.
• Strong administration experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and HPE Zerto.
• Several years of experience administering Linux and Windows server architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and Rancher orchestration and administration in production.
• Practical experience operating HPE Alletra, HPE Primera, Qumulo, or SCALITY Artesca storage.
• Experience administering CAD systems, ideally PTC Creo or Model Manager.
• Knowledge of production-critical IT/OT infrastructure in GxP-regulated environments and quality management systems such as MQMS.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Ansible, CI/CD, and ITIL-based incident and change processes.
• Very good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the Model Manager CAD system and other assigned IT/OT services.
• Operate, administer, and optimize hybrid IT/OT infrastructure and storage systems.
• Design and manage backup and recovery for critical systems using Veeam Backup & Replication and HPE Zerto.
• Administer, provision, and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.
• Operate Kubernetes and Rancher environments in production.
• Lead and deliver complex IT/OT projects within schedule, budget, and GxP requirements.
• Provide on-call and on-site support for critical IT/OT infrastructure and systems.
