IT Platform Engineer

Job summary

The IT Platform Engineer role involves developing and delivering secure, high-quality solutions in a cloud-based environment, primarily using Azure. Responsibilities include implementing DevOps practices, ensuring code quality through automated testing frameworks like pytest, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technical strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in object-oriented programming (Python preferred).
• Proven expertise with Cloud services (SDK, Terraform, Databricks – Azure preferred).
• Experience with Unity Catalog is a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the software development cycle, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Application of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with writing layer tests/testing pyramid (Pytest is a plus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical thinker and effective problem solver.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to mentor and support team members.
