Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking an enthusiastic IT Systems Administrator to join their core infrastructure team. The role involves maintaining mission-critical IT platforms, providing third-line support, and collaborating on projects to enhance IT services.

Qualifications

• Experience with large scale physical and virtualised infrastructure and application networking technologies
• Knowledge of shell scripting, Python, and Puppet DSL

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a DevOps team to maintain email infrastructure, directory services, and authentication services
• Assisting with triaging and resolution of support calls and service requests as part of a third-line support team
• Partnering with the Data Centre Manager to ensure high service availability
• Contributing to projects to develop and improve IT services
