Job summary

The Java Cloud & DevOps Engineer role is centered on building, scaling, and maintaining a high-throughput SaaS platform for mobile identity verification. Responsibilities include backend engineering with Java, deploying containerized services on Kubernetes, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines while utilizing cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with server-side Java engineering
• Hands-on exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and relational databases
• Knowledge of application security principles and secure coding practices
• Curious, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership
• Good professional proficiency in English
• Participate in periodic 24/7 on-call shifts for incident management

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain features for the ReadID SaaS backend focusing on reliability, performance, and security
• Deploy, configure, and monitor containerized services on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated releases and reliable deployments
• Write clean, modular, and well-tested code adhering to team standards and best practices
• Collaborate on release testing and validation for interoperability across mobile platforms
• Participate in infrastructure automation, observability, troubleshooting, and platform improvements
• Work closely with cross-functional team members in sprints, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing
