Job summary

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer role focuses on setting the vision and strategy for SRE transformation within the Commercial & Investment Bank, enhancing reliability and user experience. Key responsibilities include defining SRE standards, driving service reviews, and implementing AI capabilities to improve operational efficiency, while leveraging technologies such as Python, Prometheus, and Datadog.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology support, production/application support, DevOps, or infrastructure management
• Demonstrated experience leading SRE/reliability engineering transformations
• Strong engineering background
• Fluency in Python
• Deep knowledge of SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and incident management
• Proficiency in telemetry collection using tools like Prometheus and Datadog
• Experience delivering automation at scale
• Proven leadership skills
• Strong judgment around risk, security, and controls
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities

Responsibilities

• Defines the SRE vision and multi-year roadmap for the Production Management team
• Establishes the SRE operating model across global regions
• Partners with Production Support leads to embed SRE practices
• Builds and develops a high-impact core SRE team
• Defines and implements standards for service cataloging and SLO/SLI frameworks
• Drives service reviews with evidence-based reporting
• Champions AI adoption and delivers AI-enabled capabilities
• Sets direction for observability across logs, metrics, and traces
• Builds partnerships with application development teams
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment
• Leads adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows
