Job summary

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer role is pivotal in defining the SRE vision and strategy for enhancing reliability and user experience within the Commercial & Investment Bank. Responsibilities include establishing SRE operating models, driving service reviews, and implementing AI capabilities to optimize operational efficiency, utilizing technologies such as Python, Prometheus, and Datadog.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology support or infrastructure management
• Experience leading SRE or production engineering transformations
• Strong engineering background
• Fluency in Python
• Knowledge of SLOs/SLIs and incident management
• Experience with telemetry collection tools
• Experience delivering automation at scale
• Proven leadership skills
• Strong judgment around risk and security
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities

Responsibilities

• Defines the SRE vision and multi-year roadmap for the Production Management team
• Establishes the SRE operating model across global regions
• Partners with Production Support leads to embed SRE practices
• Builds and develops a high-impact core SRE team
• Defines and implements standards for service cataloging and SLO/SLI frameworks
• Drives service reviews with evidence-based reporting
• Champions AI adoption and delivers AI-enabled capabilities
• Sets direction for observability across logs, metrics, and traces
• Builds partnerships with application development teams
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in the work environment
• Leads adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows
