Job summary

The Junior Cloud Engineer role is designed to support a government client by establishing cloud-based technology within a hybrid cloud environment. Key responsibilities include facilitating cloud strategies using DoD approved providers, developing automation capabilities with tools like Terraform and Ansible, and ensuring operational excellence through DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Clearance Required: Secret
• 1+ years of experience providing cloud-related support
• 4 additional years of experience may substitute for degree requirement
• DoD 8570/8140 aligned certification required
• Skills in Cloud, IT Infrastructure, Architecture, and Security
• Knowledge of DoD Enterprise networks
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using appropriate tooling

Responsibilities

• Establish cloud-based technology in an Agile IT environment
• Facilitate customer cloud strategy with DoD approved providers
• Define and engineer solution capabilities
• Act as a trusted advisor for technical decisions
• Assist with architecture, design, and requirements analysis
• Develop deployment and process automation capabilities
• Utilize DevSecOps capabilities with IaC tools
• Take ownership of issues with urgency
• Produce clear and concise documentation
