Job summary

The Junior Cloud Operations Engineer helps maintain and improve cloud infrastructure and mission-critical services, working with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. The role includes automating deployments and CI/CD pipelines, configuring AWS and Azure environments, monitoring services with observability tools, participating in on-call incident response, and documenting processes.

Qualifications

• Curiosity about cloud technologies and willingness to learn
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and listening skills
• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure services is beneficial but not required
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent hands-on experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers and DevOps, software engineering, and QA teams to maintain cloud systems
• Automate deployments and monitor critical services
• Configure and optimize AWS and Azure infrastructure
• Build CI/CD pipelines and contribute to operational best practices
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident management
• Set up observability tools and help detect and resolve issues
• Document processes and share knowledge
