Junior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

Giacom is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain infrastructure for their Marketplace and Software Tools platforms, focusing on automating the development pipeline and ensuring service reliability, scalability, and security in an AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure role
• Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda)
• Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (BitBucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
• Foundation in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Firewalls)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Build and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure using IaC tools
• Support deployment and operation of containerised applications
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Collaborate with developers and network engineers to troubleshoot issues
• Apply DevSecOps policies in the development lifecycle
