Job summary
The Junior DevOps Engineer is responsible for assisting in the deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and application environments, primarily utilizing AWS. Key responsibilities include supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub/GitLab, managing Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployments, and troubleshooting deployment issues across various environments.

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, or a related technical role.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD technologies.
- Experience working in an AWS environment, including CI/CD pipelines and core AWS services.
- Experience with Docker and container-based technologies, with basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Git, GitHub and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and application environments primarily within AWS.
- Support and execute scheduled application deployments across Development, UAT and Production environments.
- Work closely with Application Development teams to build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using GitHub/GitLab.
- Support Docker containerization and Amazon EKS/Kubernetes deployments.
- Assist with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
- Troubleshoot build, pipeline, environment, Kubernetes and application deployment issues.
- Support and maintain AWS services including EKS, ECR, RDS, S3, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, Route 53 and Load Balancers.
- Configure, monitor and maintain application and infrastructure monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch and Splunk.
- Assist with application configuration, secrets management, IAM/access controls and AWS security best practices.
