Junior DevOps Engineer

Job summary

RBC is seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, automation tools, and security practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications
• Some knowledge in Node.js or Python, and SQL
• Knowledge building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms
• Fast learner who is results-oriented
• Knowledge on using AI and automation

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to support production deployments
• Participate in design review process of new application features
• Assist in managing and executing Terraform Enterprise pipelines
• Support deployment and management of infrastructure changes
• Assist in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Support containerization efforts using Docker
• Learn and assist with OpenShift Container Platform environments
• Support vulnerability management activities using SonarQube
• Monitor system performance and report anomalies
• Help ensure compliance with security, scalability, and reliability standards
• Participate in on-call rotations with guidance from senior team members
• Develop and maintain documentation of infrastructure
