Job summary
This junior Site Reliability Engineer supports a microservices-based HR and payroll SaaS platform running on Microsoft Azure. The role involves monitoring cloud environments, contributing to Infrastructure as Code and automation with Terraform and Bicep, investigating alerts and performance with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, and supporting incident response, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Some exposure to cloud, DevOps, scripting, or software engineering through work, study, an apprenticeship, or personal projects.
- Interest in cloud, SRE or DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Some understanding of scripting or programming, or enthusiasm to develop these skills.
- Problem-solving skills and curiosity about how systems work.
- Collaborative mindset and interest in a career in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Support and monitor cloud environments in Microsoft Azure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep.
- Contribute to automation that reduces manual processes and operational toil.
- Investigate alerts and performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Support incident investigation, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
- Build understanding of CI/CD, SRE, and observability.
- Understand application code when troubleshooting services.
