Job summary

AurumTours is seeking a (Junior) Software Developer with a focus on DevOps/Infrastructure. This role involves scaling and operating systems, backend development, and close collaboration with various teams. Qualifications

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, vocational training as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification.
• Initial practical experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Go, PHP, or Python).
• Practical experience in a Linux environment and with configuration and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Knowledge of web and infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL (including backup/replication).
• Basic understanding of networking (Firewall, Routing, VLAN).
• Interest in CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins), Docker-based environments, and monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Grafana).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) are advantageous.
• Actively engage with generative AI tools (e.g., Cursor AI, Claude, or Jetbrains Junie) for automating development tasks and efficiently developing new features.
• Fluent German (at least C1-level) and good English skills (at least B2-level).

Responsibilities

• Further develop the Linux infrastructure, including server setup, operation, CI/CD, automation, and ensuring stability.
• Conceive, develop, and further develop backend functionalities using PHP, Go, and Rust.
• Collaborate closely with product management, development, and other departments, focusing on backend, DevOps, and system scaling and development.
