Job summary

The Senior Platform Engineer develops and operates a hybrid platform that enables digital product teams to use Azure resources and shared services securely and independently. The role covers Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking and identities; Terraform-based infrastructure as code; Microsoft Intune administration; and integration with on-premises infrastructure. It also includes automation, documentation, service design with internal teams, and infrastructure qualification in a regulated medical technology environment.

• Degree in computer science or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of platform or infrastructure experience, including Azure expertise and an understanding of traditional data center infrastructure.
• Practical experience provisioning and operating Azure compute, networking, storage, and identity resources.
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
• Platform-as-a-product mindset and interest in self-service services for internal teams.
• Very good German (C1) and good English (B2).
• Experience with Ansible, GitHub Actions, VMware vSphere, Kubernetes or AKS, other cloud providers, or regulated environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identities, and permissions.
• Provision Azure resources using reusable Terraform modules and templates.
• Define platform services and team responsibilities with stream-aligned teams.
• Administer and develop Microsoft Intune device, policy, and application management.
• Integrate cloud and on-premises networking, identities, monitoring, and operating processes.
• Automate recurring tasks and reduce technical debt.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks, share knowledge, and support infrastructure qualification.
