Job summary

The Kubernetes/Container Architect role is centered on providing technical leadership for Kubernetes and container platform architecture, ensuring security, scalability, and resilience. Key responsibilities include designing and governing Kubernetes cluster architectures, leading architecture decisions on service mesh integration, and collaborating with various teams to align container platforms with enterprise architecture objectives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating enterprise Kubernetes and container platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, container orchestration, platform security, networking, and storage integration.
• Experience with high-availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and resilience design principles.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, service meshes, observability, and platform governance.
• Proven ability to support complex technical escalations and provide architectural leadership.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern Kubernetes cluster architectures and container platform standards.
• Define and maintain highly available and resilient Kubernetes control-plane architectures.
• Lead architecture decisions related to service mesh integration, storage integration, networking, security, and platform scalability.
• Establish operational patterns, governance frameworks, and best practices for containerized environments.
• Provide technical leadership for complex incidents, escalations, and platform challenges.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, reliability, and performance requirements are consistently met.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, networking, storage, and security teams to align container platforms with enterprise architecture objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the adoption of emerging cloud-native technologies.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and operational guidance.
