Kubernetes Engineer

Job summary

The Kubernetes Engineer role is essential for maintaining the stability and availability of an On-Prem platform while exploring new technologies and enhancing automation. Responsibilities include managing Kubernetes clusters, executing upgrades and integrations, developing automation tools in Go, and leveraging observability tools such as Grafana and Splunk to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

• strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux
• solid experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• enjoyment of deep-dive sessions and detailed analysis of complex technical problems
• holistic thinking and ability to address technical challenges
• quick adaptation to new technologies and complex topics
• experience or interest in tech stack focusing on Cilium, ArgoCD, GitLab, Grafana, Debian/Talos/RHEL, and Vault
• interest in cloud technologies and Amazon EKS

Responsibilities

• responsible for engineering, development, and operation of On-Prem Vanilla Kubernetes clusters (Talos)
• plan and execute Kubernetes upgrades, releases, and integrations of platform components
• develop system-level automation, tools, controllers, and operators in Go
• analyze and resolve complex operational issues
• evaluate new technologies and make architectural decisions
• work with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps
